Experience and education requirements

bullet

3-5 years of generalist experience in a field based organization, preferably in a multi-site environment (retail or restaurant).

Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Bachelor Degree required

Professional Human Resource Certification is a plus.

Scope: Houston Region, which includes 10 Area markets and approximately 100 company-owned restaurants.

Job Description:
Primary responsibilities:
bulletProactively foster positive employee relations through coaching with  Managers, Area Coaches, and Training Leaders.
bulletLead culture change initiatives which support our ongoing emphasis on recognition at the frontline.
bulletPartner with Region and Area Coaches on continuous improvement of key HR measures, i.e. stable management team, team member turnover, retention of team members, and position specific training.
bulletLead succession planning at Restaurant, and Area level including creation of individual development plans for all management team members.
bulletWork closely with each Area Coach to ensure they have adequate management pipeline in each restaurant and have identified internal candidates to backfill all key positions.
bulletManage the internal promotion and selection process and ensure all newly promoted managers receive appropriate training prior to beginning their new responsibilities.
bulletPartner with Staffing Leaders to attain full restaurant staffing.
bulletModel our reward and recognition culture to motivate team members.
bulletPartner with Restaurant Service Center Representatives to resolve team member questions or concerns relating to payroll, compensation or benefits.

bulletAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
bulletTrack record of building positive relationships with line clients and gaining alignment on key initiatives across functions.
bulletProficiency in managing delicate employee relations issues. Must have developed investigative skills and sound judgement needed to perform the roles of employee advocate and company representative in a balanced manner.
bulletMust be adept at working in a matrix organization and be effective as both a strong support team member and a functional steward.
